These presets make our workflow so much easier and more efficient. Game-changers for any creative team.
I’m a beginner in After Effects, but these presets have been so helpful at making me look like a pro.
Having to create content quickly within After Effects, these presets have been a huge help adding value to my process.
I've been a designer and motion graphics artist for 15 years and have designed for churches and ministries all over the world, including Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries, Church on the Move, Harvest Bible Chapel and many more. Having grown up in church as a pastor's kid, my heart has always been to help smaller churches and understaffed ministries succeed. It's my hope that Designs for Church will help you on your road to working in ministry.
Thanks for downloading DC Presets!
I'm going to be adding more presets and make sure they are compatible with After Effects 2020 in November. I'll email you when I have a new set of presets to download.
Unzip the folder and inside will be a folder called "DC Presets" and a Read Me document. You will drag the DC Presets folder into the following location:
Mac: ~ / Documents / Adobe / After Effects CC XX / User Presets /
Windows: My Documents / Adobe / After Effects CC XX / User Presets /
When you relaunch After Effects, you will see the DC Presets in the Effects and Presets panel under Animation Presets.
How to Use:
These presets add rectangular shape layers with slider controls to easily change the width and height from the Effects Controls panel. ProShapeX and ProShapeY are versions with the anchor point tied to the X or Y axis.
The Text In animators add keyframes and controls to easily animate text by character, by word or by line. Once applied, use the sliders to change the starting position, opacity or blur and the text will begin moving. Hit “U” to see the keyframes and move them closer together or father apart to speed up or slow down the movement.
Tip: Uncheck the opacity checkbox to see the changes you’re making to the starting position, and then reenable the opacity checkbox after.
This preset can be applied to any layer. It uses the layers start and end point to define the fade in and fade out value. There's a control slider in the Effects Panel for changing the duration in seconds.
Apply this preset to any shape layer with strokes. It will add a Trim Paths with keyframed animation to animate the stroke drawing on from start to end. The default Trim Paths animates all shapes on at once. The Trim Paths-Separately will animate each path on one after the other.
Tip: Trim paths doesn't look great with shapes that have Fills. Use this on basic shapes or imported shapes from Illustrator.
